Welcome to the Inn At Diamond Cove
Located on Maine's Great Diamond Island, the Inn at Diamond Cove is a tranquil destination that provides guests with a peaceful and relaxing stay. Constructed during the 1890's Fort McKinley's was part of the country's coastal defense system to protect Portland's Harbor and Casco Bay. The Inn is housed in Fort McKinley's former Barracks and overlooks the former parade grounds. Cars are not permitted on the Island which is part of what makes it so magical.
With a brief and scenic boat ride from downtown Portland you are transported from the hustle and bustle of Portland's Old Port district through the sparkling waters of Casco Bay to peaceful Great Diamond Island. Diamond's Edge Restaurant is situated just steps from the marina, overlooking Diamond Cove. Formerly an artistic retreat community and later the historic site of Fort McKinley, Diamond's Edge remains rich in charm and history.
